On Monday 27 September 2021, the £100 High Street Voucher scheme was launched in Northern Ireland. It is funded by the NI government and it was set up to assist businesses in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
How to apply for your High Street Voucher
Everyone aged 18 and over can now apply for a £100 “spend local” card to use in shops before the end of November 2021. The application portal is open from 27 September to 25 October 2021 and it is available at https://service.spendlocalni.com/DFEVoucher/apply/#/
If applying online for yourself, you will need your email address and National Insurance number as well as other details such as your name, address and date of birth. There is an option to fill in your driving licence number but this is not mandatory but will help speed up the checking process.
If you want someone to apply on your behalf, you will need to give them the details needed. As this means sharing your personal data with them, the person who applies on your behalf should be someone you trust.
The first wave of cards will be sent out on the week commencing 4 October and a telephone helpline will also open on 11 October to assist anyone who is struggling to access the discount scheme.
Bann Mobility is delighted to accept High Street Vouchers
“We are delighted to see this scheme being launched”, commented John Knipe, owner of Bann Mobility. “Our customers will be able to use the card at our showroom at Carn Industrial Estate and save £100 on a product of their choice. This could be anything from a wheelchair, a mobility scooter, a riser recliner chair or any of our mobility aids. We will also give customers an extra £25 of any purchase made with the High Street Voucher.”
